This shop, in the centre of a busy Somerset village which is heavily protected under the Conservation Act, is 300 years old and full of quirks and wonky walls! It even hides an ancient cellar which – history depicts – led from the local Castle as an escape route. In opening this up I was tracked closely by the village Historians who were eager to scoop a photo or two, whilst regaling me with stories of local characters and the property’s own citing in the Doomsday book. 

Inside, history was paired with a clean and contemporary style, smooth lines, vaulted ceiling and large aluminium-glass front, opening the new studio space up for future businesses to enjoy this little village with a big history.
